B I'm Not Getting In A Car With You
After enjoying yesterday's Third Eye Foundation tune so much, I thought I'd delve a little further back into his work. You can listen to the whole thing for yourself below, the video comprises both the A and B sides.
No idea about the titles, but Universal Cooler is an odd tune. The slow, slightly warped string samples that repeats throughout seems mismatched with the opening looped hip-hop lyric (Thanks on the sleeve are to, amongst others, GZA, so I'm assuming that it's him). Drum loops go from pedestrian to frenetic, to reversed. There are some other, more drawn-out vocal loops in there too. It's odd, but it kinda works.
On the flip side is another strange one. Menacing opening strings and guitar, then a bunch of vocal samples at different speeds played over each other, and the phrase "It's electrocution" spoken cleanly. More strings and light drums, "It's electrocution", close. Most odd.
